| The Virginia Grassland Bird Initiative (VGBI) is proud to announce the release of a new booklet, Meet Your Virginia Grassland Birds, designed to shine a spotlight on the vital role that Virginia’s working grasslands play in supporting over 60 bird species throughout the year. This comprehensive resource showcases both iconic and lesser-known grassland birds, explores their unique contributions to grassland ecosystems, and offers best management practices that can be implemented to protect them. This booklet is available in both English and Spanish. VGBI is a partnership led by Smithsonian’s Virginia Working Landscapes, The Piedmont Environmental Council, American Farmland Trust, and Quail Forever. |
