Headwaters Master Naturalists and Monarchs & More! Project partners are invited on a tour of our five pollinator sites on Saturday, August 15, 2015.
We’ll be celebrating our 2014/2015 HMN Chapter Focus Project when the gardens will hopefully be hosting Monarchs and many other pollinators.
We have two 15-passenger buses lined up to leave from the Augusta County Government Center, 18 Government Center Lane, Verona, at 9:30 AM on Saturday, August 15. Two chapter members will be our drivers, shuttling us to our pollinator spots. Find directions to the Government Center here.
- First stop is Purcell Park, 41 Monument Ave., Harrisonburg, at around 10AM. Directions here.
- Second stop is Cooks Creek Arboretum, 211 Weeping Willow Lane, Bridgewater, at around 11AM. Directions here.
- Third stop is Natural Chimneys Park, 94 Natural Chimneys Lane, Mt. Solon, at 12PM. Directions here. We will have food, drinks (nectar and pollen!), and a short membership meeting here to vote on our chapter bylaws updates.
- Fourth stop is the Frontier Culture Museum, 1290 Richmond Ave., Staunton, at around 2:00PM. Directions here.
- Fifth stop is Project Grows, 608 Berry Farm Rd., Verona, at around 2:45PM. Directions here.
- We hope to return to the Augusta County Government Center in Verona by around 3:30PM.
