The Headwaters Chapter of the Virginia Master Naturalists will again host Wildflower Walks on Shenandoah Mountain in the George Washington National Forest in 2019. Mark your calendars for Saturday, April 27th!
This 7th Annual community event is an opportunity to get out into our backyard forests and discover the ephemeral beauty of spring wildflowers while celebrating nature and the changing seasons.
The planning committee is currently looking for volunteers to help lead walks and spread the word about our Wildflower Walks! If you or someone you know may be interested in helping to lead walks, contact Chip Brown at cbrown2001 [at] gmail [dot] com or Cheryl Shull at cherylshull [at] yahoo [dot] com. Have ways to share this event with other community members? Contact Sue Gier at sue [at] suegier [dot] net.
Details and signup for the Wildflower Walks will be posted in early April.
